We're looking for a visionary Sales Director who understands that we've entered the era of fast-paced AI transformation
Note: This role requires a sharper focus on prior experience. We’re seeking a proven senior-level sales professional with a strong track record of building and growing deal pipelines in a consulting or advisory environment. If you’ve driven growth at scale and want to step into a founding leadership seat where you’ll shape the commercial engine of a pre-Series A venture then this role is for you
Responsibilities:
Lead and develop a high-performing team of AI Relations Specialists to drive sales pipeline growth across EMEA and APAC markets, ensuring each team member understands both the technical capabilities of our legal-first methodology and the strategic business it delivers to enterprises.
Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies that position S.AI.L as a recognised AI transformation, focusing on enterprise departments that are too large and complex for traditional systems integrators to service effectively
Build and maintain strategic relationships with C-suite executives demonstrating how AI delivered with a focus on compliance, risk management and legal can turn cost centres into strategic business advantages
Drive revenue growth through consultative selling of S.AI.L's comprehensive service portfolio, including AI strategic advisory services, custom AI platform development, business process re-engineering, and cybersecurity preparedness programs
Collaborate closely with our technical teams to ensure seamless delivery of cloud-native AI implementations that integrate with clients' existing Microsoft, AWS, or Google Cloud infrastructure without requiring new platforms or data handoffs
Establish thought leadership in the AI transformation space through speaking engagements, industry partnerships, and strategic content development that positions S.AI.L as the go-to expert
Analyse market trends and competitive landscape to identify new opportunities for growth, particularly in emerging markets and with organisations seeking to transform using AI, ML and agentic AI platforms
Qualifications:
Communication skills: You excel at translating complex AI concepts into compelling business value propositions that resonate with and C-suite leaders. Your ability to articulate how AI transformation drives measurable ROI, from reduced processing times to accelerated deal closure, sets you apart. You're equally comfortable presenting to a General Counsel about strategic legal positioning as you are discussing technical implementation details with IT leader
Growth mindset: You thrive in the dynamic world of AI and see every challenge as an opportunity to pioneer new approaches to enterprise transformation. You understand that we're building something entirely new – not just selling existing solutions, but creating a category where S.AI.L leads the creation of strategic business drivers through AI. Your curiosity about emerging technologies like agentic AI and your willingness to experiment with new sales methodologies make you an ideal fit for our rapidly evolving market
Track Record in AI, RegTech, or Legal Technology: You bring proven success in selling complex technology solutions to enterprise legal departments or similar regulated industries. Whether your background is in AI platforms, regulatory technology, legal software, or enterprise SaaS, you understand the unique challenges legal departments face and how technology can address them. Your experience with consultative selling gives you the foundation to succeed in our specialised market
Coaching and Mentoring: You're passionate about developing talent and building high-performing teams. Your approach to coaching AI Relations Specialists goes beyond traditional sales training – you help them understand the strategic implications of AI transformation and develop the consultative skills needed to guide the c-suite through complex change management processes. You create an environment where team members can experiment, learn from failures, and continuously improve their ability to drive meaningful client outcome
Compensation
Equity ownership: ~2% of fully diluted shares at grant
Vesting schedule: 4-year vest, 1-year cliff, monthly thereafter
Salary: Market-rate compensation effective upon Series A close (~12 months)
Exit potential: c.US$7.5-15M based on conservative 5x revenue multiple at liquidity event
