The project was to be on artificial intelligence. This was the first time the term was used
The proposal was authored by four men. John McCarthy, Marvin Minsky, Nathaniel Rochester, and Claude Shannon
They came from different institutions. Dartmouth College, Harvard University, IBM, and Bell Telephone Laboratories
They were united by a single conjecture. That every aspect of learning or any other feature of intelligence can be so precisely described that a machine can be made to simulate it
